In addition, CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) is characterized as time-sensitive, structured, focused on the present moment psychotherapy, which aims at solving current problems and training people who seek help, skills to independently change their own dysfunctional thinking, undesirable behavior. CBT is a psychotherapy based on a cognitive model, that is, on such a method of conscious behavior, when a person, perceiving a situation, to a greater extent organizes his reactions to him rather than to the situation itself. The key terms of the CBT are disclosed, which include the cognitive formulation of the problem as a complete belief of the client and his behavioral strategies that characterize a particular disorder; a conceptualization as an understanding of individual peculiarities of clients and their specific beliefs and / or behavior patterns; a cognitive model as an example of how people perceive the situation is more closely connected with their reaction rather than with the components of the situation itself; automatic (involuntary) thoughts as ideas that uncontrollably rise from the mind of human. The theoretical substantiation of the CBT by doctors Aaron and Judith Beck is carried out in the context of its cognitive interpretation model.
