The article presents a historical analysis of the interpretation in humanities morality of personality in general and in its relation to the spiritual and to the problems of moral health in particular. It is stated uncertainty about the problem of human morality in the ethical thought of antiquity, which led to moral pessimism. It is argued that at the present stage traditionally the study of moral health of personality is carried out mainly from sociological, psychosocial and general psychological approaches, which do not place a deep semantic content filling of the motivational field of moral behavior and its stability. It is argumented that authentic morality is individual, unregulated and absolute. The methodological and theoretical principles of psychological study of the moral health of personality in the context of spiritual paradigm are described; empirical facts of the manifestation of this phenomenon are analyzed. It is noted that moral health as a component of human power and energy is in synergistic interaction with its spiritual, social, psychological, mental and somatic health. It is concluded that full moral health relates to the possession of a person’s spiritual ability to believe, to love, to do good and to fight evil, to establish freedom and responsibility. The phenomenon of moral illness is considered in detail, which manifests itself in the orientation of personality on morality of social nature, in the possession of unconscious non-authentic moral phenomena, in the presence of conflicts in a moral sphere of personality between conscious and unconscious entities, in the selfish orientation of an inductive sphere, in the defense of destructive conditional moral values, caused by an action of psychological mechanisms of the functioning of unhealthy Self. It is substantiated that the basis of moral health of personality are authentic spiritual values, developed moral Self, moral self-consciousness, moral ideal. The prospects of studying this problematic context of actualized field of psychological specification are presented.
